Valentines Mansion – 2nd March 2007

On our walk around with Christina we entered the Breakfast Room and Christina felt a connection with an Earl around the time of 1750. She also felt a connection with an elderly lady with a stick and a dog and felt her name was Nancy. (one of the lady owners did have a small dog)
She also experience feelings of a broken heart, sadness and links with the forces.
Billiard Room
Here Christina sensed a leg problem – possibly a loss of limb
She also sensed the presence of a big dumpy lady Mrs B?
Dining Room
Christina sensed that a lady had given up living, dying of a broken heart, she was very lonely and glad to go.She also sensed a dog running around.Christina felt that the house had been left into trust.She also felt the presence of 2 sister and 1 of them was very depressed
Drawing Room (Upstairs)
Christina had the strong of a female being locked in, for her own safety. She felt this female wanted to jump. There had been a big argument and she tried to throw herself down the stairs where she was injured.(As far as we know the daughter of the mansion owner had tried to commit suicide on these stairs and only succeeded in breaking her legs)
Bedroom (next to Drawing Room)
Christina sensed a women would sit by the window with a cat
White Stairs (leading to top floor)
Christine felt that someone had hung themselves from the top banister
2nd Room
Christina sensed that trouble had taken place in this room, possibly related to alcohol and rape, she could hear screams and the time period was around 1750-1760
3rd Room
Christina picked up on the name David
Kitchen
Christina felt that a black and white photo had been removed from the wall above the cooking range
Dairy
Christina picked up on the name Violet and she possibly did the laundryShe also sensed females working busily, and that there would have been baskets under the worktops.She also felt that the Housekeeper was a tyrant, and she also picked up on the name Lucy.
During the evening we did some vigils, glass divination, planchette and a séance.
Glass Divination – Drawing Room
During the glass divination connection was made with Alfred - The Butler. He was married to Molly the cook and had children one of them called Sara, who both lived and later worked at the house.It was believed that he died with heart problems and that the master of the house had a drink problem and treated everyone badly.It was also felt that the Safe in Room 8 held all the staffs valuable and only the Master and Alfred had a key for it.
Planchette - Room 14 Group 1
Before this experiment happened, Ginette was called away from the room to go to the Drawing Room. Upon her return communication had been made with George and the figure 8 was being drawn.
Séance - Room 8
It was decided to do a séance in room 8, and here Christina connected with Elizabeth who was very upset. Her love, James had been sent away and she was waiting for him to return. Christina became a little upset as there was mention on water and a pond.
Main Stairway
A few people felt uneasy here, they experienced dizziness and legs going to jelly. At one point Chris felt a surge of anger.
Downstairs Hallway
During a break, Chris saw something rush past the door, More Glass divination was done in the Drawing room and some members had personal messages come through.
Room 14 – Planchette Group 2
The group had a good response with the planchette and connected with Elizabeth, who was very angry with Dawn for trying to send her to the light. She said she had not yet been reunited with James and was still waiting for him. Her father had caught them by the lake having a secret rendezvous and had sent James away to work in India. She had drowned herself in the lake.After we had thanked her for talking to us she moved the planchette to each one of us individually as if to say goodbye.
Upstairs – end room with bay window
During a calling out period here, a number of knocks kept being heard from the room next door. Christina kept being told we must go into that room.There were also some slight EMF readings around Mike and Chris when they felt a presence. The number 18 also appeared to be relevant.
Room with lights hanging down
We decided to go into the room where the knocks had been heard, although nothing appeared to happen to begin with, Christina picked up on the name James and the number 18. She felt she had to keep counting the group as she could see 18 of us and there were only 17, James wanted to be one of the group and we asked him to throw a pebble from the fireplace which he did.We also heard footsteps coming from the attic area, although we know nobody was up there. (This has been caught on video footage along with the sound of the pebble being thrown)
We walked further down the corridor and there was a room with a chair in the middle of the floor. As the group walked past a number of us heard the chair move.
We entered into another room where Christina picked up on a little girl called Millie (Amelia?) Christina told Ginette that this little girl visits her as Ginette reminded her of her mum. (Ginette had connected with the same girl on a previous visit)
Sharon and Chris went downstairs to get new batteries and on their return they heard a chair move in one of the rooms. The rest of the group was in a different part of the upper floor when this happened.
We decided we would investigate one of the end rooms and when the group was at the end of the corridor a female member was bumped into and when Neil turned around to see who had bumped into her he saw a hand holding the corner of the wall. On further investigation the hand had disappeared (to our knowledge no on was in that area at the time)
Small end room
The group sat in silence in the far room and placed a plastic water bottle on the floor. The shadow of the bottle seemed to take on the appearance of a whiskey bottle.
There was a presence of a lady in this room who was not happy about the men being in her room. There was also mention of a grand piano which she used to play.
After the group left the room, Dawn had said that the lady was sitting in the chair by the window. This chair was emitting a lot of EMF signals (no electrical source present around the chair)
All in all we had a very productive night and had a lot of good communication. Unfortunately I am unable to verify names at this present time, as it is difficult without surnames or time periods .There is relevance with the number 18 and hopefully this will become clear when we go back on 18th May.
