The evening started well, as soon as our Medium Pete arrived he was aware of a lady at the top of the stairs. (there have been a number of report of this sighting over the years)

During our Health and Safety and equipment talks Pete and Don were both aware of a lady who they believe to be a maid. She would have got up early to prepare the fires for the house. Pete thought that she may have suffered with a weak bladder and would have been of a nervous disposition and that she used to bump into things.

Don said the lady was walking backwards and forwards saying ‘hurry up, are you ready yet’. He also said that his clothes felt damp.

Pete also said that the carpet in the hallway would have originally been red (it is currently blue with a gold pattern).

Walk around – Top Hallway

Marcus was feeling sick and was experiencing tightness in his throat.

Ron could feel coldness.

Pete said that there was a lady standing on the landing. The lady was in white and was well dressed and he felt she would have been the lady of the house. He was also feeling hot and dizzy. He was aware of her energy moving backwards and forwards on the top hallway.

River Room

When Pete and Don entered this room earlier they had heard some clicking noises and a noise like a lady’s bangles shaking. They had also seen a blue light flash in the corner of the room. Don was given the name Anna and felt that she would have been happy and giggly. She had brown hair which was tied up.

Pete said this lady had touched Don under the chin and that she also wore a bobby pin in her hair.

Pete sensed that there was a strong male energy by the fire, he had brown eyes a moustache and his hair was combed back. He was given the name George. Pete also felt that this room would have been used as a games room.

Garden Room

Pete felt this would have been a women’s room. Pete had a tingling sensation and a pain in his lower back.

A blue light was seen by Don and he had a feeling of being hugged. There was also a feeling of children being present/made to feel welcome.

Don felt the house would have been owned jointly.


Upon leaving the Garden Room Marcus saw a light flash across the floor and go into the Willow Room. He said this was at the height of a child.

Willow Room

The presence of a lady and a gentleman were felt in this room. Val picked up on the name David.

Pete was feeling very hot, yet his hands were really cold.

Basement

Not a great deal was felt in the basement, however there was one section off of a storage room that Pete could not enter as the atmosphere felt so different.

Group 1 River Room – Planchette
Sharon, Don, Val, Gemma, Katie and Marcus

On entering the room three knocks were heard.

Katie experienced a tingling sensation in her arm.

Marcus picked up the name Eric

The far corner of the room was 16.9 degrees the other corners were 20.5 degrees.

Marcus and Gemma could both smell fruit pastels

A white terrier was sensed

The paper on the table moved significantly on its own. 1 inch over and about 3 inches down towards Val (no explanation could be found for this)

Unfortunately the group did not get any information via this experiment.

Group 2
Ginette, Pete, Valerie, Ron, Shaun

Straight away Pete could sense that there was a dog by the fireplace.

Connection was made via the Planchette with a young girl.
Ginette was experiencing a lot of pain around the kidney area. She asked if the young girl was giving her this pain and the reply was ‘yes’. This was acknowledged and asked to be taken away, and after a few minutes the pain had gone.

After that Ginette received a personal message. When the message ended a small shadow seemed to move between Pete and Ginette. Was this spirit leaving?

Group 2 Willow Room – Glass Divination

Upon entering the room both Ginette and Shaun were experiencing headaches.
The glass seemed reluctant to move and when it did it seemed to be struggling, however the information received was by someone called Dave/David (Val had picked up on this name in the room previously on the walk around)

He was 48 years old when he passed and he gave the year of 1768 as the year of passing. It seemed that he may have worked at the mill when it was on the site and when asked questions about this he appeared to become distressed.
We then had a lot of movement on the glass which did not come up with anything legible and asked if spirit was playing with us to which we go the answer of Yes.

Some lights were seen by the far door by Ron and Shaun and Pete was sensing a lady with brown shoes.

Shaun was sensing a lady standing behind him with long brown wavy hair and felt that she was upset.

Pete thought that she may have been 34 when she died.

The glass spelt out the name POPPY and was a spirit lady who once lived in the house.

Pete was picking up on information about this lady and as he was saying it the glass kept moving to YES as if to confirm what he was say was right.

Pete felt that this lady had lost a child to pneumonia and that she would have been around 11 years old when she passed. He said that she would have passed in a bed which would have been situated in the corner of the room.

(just before going into the vigil, Ginette had spoke with a security guard on the phone who had told her about a spirit of a young girl around the age of 10/11 seen in this room. Pete had no prior knowledge of this).

Poppy could not connect with her daughter in the spirit world and was extremely distressed that she had not found her. She said that she had died of a broken heart in this room and that her husband could not get over the death.

The glass indicated the year 1886 and the name Rosie. (there are records showing the birth of Rose Colyer but it would appear she died with in the first year of life)

It also spelt out twins and the name Jase.

Poppy said she used to communicate with her daughter via physics in the Victorian times when they did their parlour games.

Poppy also had a lover, it was the doctor who treated her daughter and Shaun reminded her of him.

She also confirmed that there were 3 other spirits in the room. The butler, Doctor and her Husband and that they were all standing by the door.


Group 1 Willow Room – Glass Divination

The Group picked up on 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy
The girls were twins and were 3 years old
The boy was 4 years old and said he was the eldest, name of Ely
H – likes twinkle twinkle little star

Male unable to spell – 44 years old, was happy and worked here for 6 years

Then a message for Marcus came through via his spirit guide, who was born in Kenya and was hear to teach Marcus.

Kerr died 76 years ago, lived in London.

Basement

Both groups went into the basement and tried some calling out and table tipping.
A few trembles on the table were felt, along with some small tapping noises.

Pete felt unwell as if he had been overcome by chemicals. Sharon had to take him out for some fresh air. (There were probably chemicals used in the basement when it belonged to Bourroughs Wellcome.)

Garden Room – Scrying

Some attempts at scrying were done. Val had a go first and could see in the mirror that she had aged. Ginette could see that Val’s face had changed quite a lot. She looked quite stern and had a high brow line and her hair line was further back than her own. Her hair had changed to black and it was in a tied back style with almost like a bouffant on the top.

She was wearing a black dress with a white frilly collar and looked also matron like, perhaps a very stern children’s nanny?

Other members had a go but nothing significant came through, just some subtle changes were seen, such as female looking male.

Attic Rooms

Nothing was picked up in these rooms.

Mendelson Suite – Group Séance

We all sat around the table and started calling out, we heard a few knocks and saw the odd light. Ginette could feel a lot of activity around her head and Pete said that he could see a light swirling above her.

During calling out both Ginette and Sharon had heard Sharon’s name called, yet no one had spoke?

Then Val went into trance and we were all very privileged to meet speak with her spirit guide. During the session (which was being filmed) a large orb came away from Val and floated across the table.

When Val’s spirit guide had gone a light was seen by Ginette leaving Val down by her legs.

Summary

We had an enjoyable time at Acacia House and some of our mediums findings had been reported by previous people, but not known by anyone other than Ginette.

As with all investigations it is very difficult to verify names without surnames and dates. However research will continue to be done and anything that can be verified will be reported on the forum.
