We started our evening by meeting up at the Black Horse Public House where we drove to the screaming woods (here our medium Pete saw a shadow cross the road further up from where we were. He felt this was someone running away and that they had lost their life after being run over by a coach and horses, he also felt this person was running as he owed money) Unfortunately it was felt the woods were to muddy to do an outside vigil so we returned back to St Nicholas Graveyard for a walk around and carried out a small workshop in the adjacent open space. We then continued onto Elvey Farm.
The Elvey Farm dates back to the early 15th Century. Located in Pluckley in the UK. According to the Guiness Book of Records, Pluckley is the most haunted village in England, and it is said the Elvey Farm is the only haunted hotel in the area!
Vigil 1
Group 1 Bedroom – Glass Divination - Sharon
The group made their way upstairs to the small bedroom with hallway adjoining.
The EMF meter was picking up strong vibrations from around the room but mainly in the centre, the reading was very high on back wall (possible electricity source running behind wall).
The group cold hear noises coming from the right hand side of room and a hissing noise from under the window.
Some members of the group cold feel a presence of an older women and man in the room.
A bang was heard outside the room.
The group were experiencing cold chills across their hands.
Contact was made with a someone who wanted to speak to Emma.
The number 63 was spelt out and
BYRON BRA I ARHJ 56 H 5 UE5YQ Y WOP
which did not mean anything.
Michelle saw a twinkle of light in the corner of the room and Sharon saw a low level light movement in the same corner.
The room seemed to go dark and quiet taps were heard in the room in various area.
Group 2
Bar – Planchette / Dowsing Rods – Andrea
Personal messages were received by Andy and Michelle.
Don and Andy saw a dark shadow pass by the fireplace and stand by the stairs. Don got the name Bessy, possibly dying after getting a blood clot after a fall, the year 1832 was given.
The group also attempted to communicate using the dowsing rods, which no real success.
Group 3
Lounge – Planchette – Ginette & Pete
As the group entered the room and was settling down there was a knock on the door, Ginette said ‘come in’ but no one did, we thought it was a member of the other group but when the door was opened there was nobody there (they confirmed it had not been them)
No real movement was made on the planchette, but lots of noises in the room, tempreture drops sudden darkness and lights.
At one point Ginette’s back and chest was freezing and the group could see a mist surrounding her, Pete said he could see someone behind her.
The group was experiencing back pain. Also the people sitting around the table all had burning right cheeks (up to 35 degrees).
There was movement on the table like someone had knocked it.
Michelle was touched on the head.
Stacey could see a man sitting in the armchair.
The name of Charlie was picked up by Pete and he felt he would have worked at the farm as a door keeper. He also felt that Charlie was not being allowed to communicate with us and was being controlled by a male spirit. A knock was heard as if confirmation.
A loud bang was heard from the hall and when investigated there was no one there, the group upstairs also heard it and came to investigate.
When the group was sitting calling out, the room seemed to get darker and then some lights were seen by the TV.
2nd Vigil
Group 1 – Lounge/Dairy – Planchette - Andrea
Creaks and cracks were heard in the lounge.
Tempreture drops were felt in the room and when the group had their hands on planchette they were all cold (21 – 23 degrees)
A tap was heard on the window, no explanation could be found for this.
Michelle’s face got hot 31 degrees. She also picked up on a male named Edward in a tweed suit with a gun and sheep dog. She felt he also had a brother in spirit.
Helen’s right ear became cold.
Suzanne’s left ear got hot.
Some of the group went off to the dairy, but no activity felt.
Group 2 - Bedroom – Glass Divination
Ginette, Don and Pete
There was a lot of movement on the glass, again with personal messages for Andy and Michelle. We had to ask these people to step aside to allow other spirits through.
There were some noises coming from the corners of the room but we could not determine what it was.
A bang was heard on the landing to which Don and Ginette went to investigate, as did a member of the group downstairs.
Pete was starting to feel a pain in his chest and had the sensation of being pinned to the floor. He felt he was a women and that she would have worked at the farm, he felt that this room was her room and this is where she died.
The group connected with a man who was connected with the farm. The age of 92 was given (although this would seem to be an unlikely age to achieve in this time period, it is possible it was 29). He said he died in the year 1778 and was hanged in nearby Smarden. He answered yes to the questions asked and confirmed that he raped and murdered the servant girl in this room.
There was a little confusion over the gap in the year of murder and his hanging. The question of whether he had escaped and come back 8 years later was asked and if he was then recaptured, this he confirmed as correct and said he was 29 at the time and that he did not regret his actions.
He also said that there had been a suicide at the farm in 1734.
Don had sat in the adjacent hall taking some photo's when he witnessed some twinkling lights, which he could not work out where they were coming form.
Group 3 – Bar – Sharon
Zoe sensed a man and felt his name was George
Sharon sensed there was a black cat in the room
Dowsing Rods were used and connected to a married Lady
Vigil 3
Group 1 – Bar - Ginette and Pete
No movement on the planchette.
Tried the dowsing rods, not much happened.
Ginette demonstrated crystal dowsing and contacted a man, she asked for the man to give his name to the group and 1 member said Lawrence. Pete got the surname Healey.(when discussing this with the other team leaders, it appeared to connect with a member of group 2 and they confirmed this was the name of an uncle)
Pete sensed a man standing by the fireplace and on two occasions chairs were heard being moved in the dining room next door to the bar. When Ginette went to look there was nobody there.
Group 2 – Lounge/Dairy
Sharon and Don
No activity felt in the lounge by the group.
Brendon went to the dairy and although spirit connection was not made he did feel tingly on his side and when he turned around he felt it on his back.
He did feel that maybe his presence was not wanted in the dairy.
Group 3 – Bedroom
Andrea
Personal messages came through.
Glass moved to 2 and the groups asked if the message was for Zoe then the glass move to yes.
First initial V, confirmed as known.
Second initial M, confirmed as Great Grandmother. Confirmed she was aware of Zoe and her Mum.
We had a good night at Elvey Farm and had some interesting noises. Some lovely personal messages came through for some of the guests.
Without names and dates it is always hard to verify the findings of the night, but our research will always continue and any further verification will be posted on the report.
